Removal of Dubrovnik from the List of World Heritage in Danger

As per Croatia’s request and with the strong support of the International Council on Monuments and Sites, at the 22nd Assembly of the World Heritage Committee held in Kyoto in Japan, in 1998, it was "decided with great satisfaction to delete the Old City of Dubrovnik from the List of World Heritage in Danger." The Committee congratulated the responsible Croatian institutions on the effective measures which had been taken with the aim of safeguarding and restoring the historical Old City of Dubrovnik.
